About Impact IQ

Overview

Serious investors. Investable projects. Real money. Done deals.

Impact IQ will focus on the actual transactions that are defining the new market for impact investments. The potential. The players. The terms. The impact. The crucial information that investors need to do their own next deal to deliver social and environmental impact along with financial returns

Impact IQ will fill a crucial gap in impact information:  real-time deal news that illuminates who’s putting down how much on what and why.

As with other alternative investments, impact investments present a particular challenge: most deals are private, with no requirements for disclosure. That makes the hunt all the more fun, and the information all the more valuable. With our Open Impact data initiative, Impact IQ is putting a stake in the ground for transparency.

Impact IQ will be a scorekeeper, not a cheerleader. Our mission is to accelerate the movement of capital by increasing transparency, around social and environmental impacts as much as financial performance. Impact IQ’s independent reporting will call out the fails along with the wins.

    David,

Just read two of your posts (on Nairobi tech scene, and the demise of E&Co), and your mission.

Love it. It’s maddeningly hard to separate fact from aspiration in the impact community or the SME development space. You’re delivering on that need.

Would love to stay in touch. You can check me out on Harvard Business Review or Linked In. The latter’s the best way to stay in touch.

    best,

    Jonathan Berman
